TECHNOLOGIES

Throughout the years of intensive experience in various industries, Disctech has been involved in the Know-how of the following Technologies.

Plastic technology (injection moulding)

plastics-02

Expertise in the plastic technology that is based on injection moulding.

In injection moulding, material is fed through a hopper into an extruder, where a reciprocating screw mixes and melts the material then injects it into a mould.

Injection moulding machines, or presses, are rated by tonnage, which expresses the amount of clamping force that the machine can exert to keep the mould closed during the process. Before the mould is opened, a cooling process is performed.

Vacuum technology

vaccum-01

Vast experience in all aspects of vacuum technology: Pumps, Coating & Evaporation

Vacuum is used to provide a clean environment, devoid of:

  • possible contamination from other gases that may be present from the atmosphere,
  • particles that may react with processes that are intended to take place,
  • pressure that may limit or restrict a desired physical process.

Our experience covers most vacuum pump types: Mechanical, Diffusion, Turbomolecular and Cryopumps

COATING TECHNOLOGY

This is divided into two parts:

  • Sputtering coating technology
  • Evaporative coating technology

Our expertise covers both the above types of technologies.

Coating by evaporation or by sputtering, are also referred to as Physical Vapour Deposition technologies. They are currently the most widely used technologies for coating (disc metallization and coating (optical discs), optics coating, 3D Coating…etc…)

a-Sputtering coating technology

Sputter coating, also known as “cathodic sputtering”, is using the erosive action of accelerated ions at the surface of a target material.

These ions have enough energy to remove (sputter) particles at the target surface.

In its simplest form, an electrical field is generated under high vacuum between an anode and a cathode plate (target), that is to be sputtered.

Disctech’s experience in the Sputtering Coating technology is on a variety of equipment used in both optical disc machines as well as solar equipment.

b-  Evaporative coating technology

In Evaporation Coating, thermal evaporation (or sublimation under vacuum) takes place. The bulk of the deposition material undergoes the transition from solid to vapour state by means of thermal heating or electron bombardment.

The evaporated material is then carried to the substrate where a gradually growing thin film occurs.

Automation technology

Automation-02

Another of our field of expertise is in Automation.

Automation technology is defined as the usage of set technologies and automatic control devices, resulting into an automated operation and control of industrial processes. This is achieved without significant human intervention and yields much superior performance than via manual controls.

Automation devices include PLCs, PCs, PACs, etc…, which interconnect via various industrial communication systems.

Scanning and quality control technology

QC-02

Another critical element when dealing in precision manufacturing is scanning.

Our scanning machines have a robust inspection process to improve quality control. With accurate scanning and inspection analysis, the manufacturer through their production engineer, can reduce iterations/tuning loops and quickly derive the proper corrective action without slowing down any of the processes.

Our experience is in:

Disc-Technology (online and offline Dr.Shenk Scanner)

Solar modules technology (online and offline electroluminescence tester)

Hot Air Soldering technology

HotAirSoldering

Soldering with narrow and acute blast of air whose temperature is closely controlled at the value required for soldering individual joints on solar cells.

We have good experience in different solar modules stringer machines, using this method of soldering.

Lamination technology

lamination-02

Lamination is the technique of manufacturing an end product composed of multiple layers. The composite material relative to each component, ends up with improved strength, stability, sound insulation, appearance or other properties.

A laminate is a permanently assembled object by vacuum, heat, pressure and adhesives.

Surface Mounting Technology

surfacemounting-01

Used in “pick and place” equipment for mounting chips on different size of PCB’s at different speeds.

Printing Technology

printing-01

Screen and offset printing techniques on different objects and substrates.
